Even though I had instantly recognized the falling towers as a controlled demolition— I had turned on the TV and caught the sight of the first tower in free fall before hearing any mention of planes hitting the building— it took time and a lot of unanswered questions for me to accept that 9-11 was another Reichstag fire.
